So the wood theme for the baby’s room is Espresso Colored. Both Cammon and I like the darker wood color-it feels richer for some reason and goes better with the light khaki colored walls. So we got a glider in espresso, a crib in espresso and stained the dresser espresso.
But when looking at all three together they just didn’t quite match. The glider is more of a black ebony with a hint of brown:
The Crib is more of a dark brown with a hint of red:
And the dresser in real life, didn’t match either:
So we added some extra stain for the dresser that was a mahogany finish and that seemed to pull together the espresso glider with black and the espresso crib with red to make quite a nice set for the baby’s room:
Cammon finished it yesterday and was so proud that he had to put felt pads on the feet and bring it into the living room so we can easily admire it. Just think its about 60 years old, had green paint covered with white paint. It did look pretty bad, but now, I think it looks like something we could easily charge for if we were to sell it.
Funny thing is, this dresser hasn’t even been in our house more than 5 hours and Cammon already is making use of it:
Too bad its Wed. and he only has till Sat. before he has to clean it out again… I’m sorry but those drawers are reserved for baby wipes and diapers… but until then, I let him have some fun.

that dresser really does look great! Nice work!
Don’t let Cammon take it over….you’ll never get it back!
